with strict environmental regulations in the future, WSW aims to operate 150 buses with battery electric drive (BEV) or hydrogen drive (H2) by 2030. However, both types of drive place great demands on efficient fleet management, as they differ significantly from conventional combustion engines.<\/p>\n<p>It was important to the WSW in this context,<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>a flexible and powerful platform<\/li>\n<li>Uniform and centralized management of all data<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>to use. Since commissioning in February 2023, the data from 50 buses, including 20 H2 vehicles, can be recorded in a normalized manner. The solution takes into account that hydrogen buses travel up to 280 kilometers a day, depending on the route requirements. Their range is 400 kilometers, so there is plenty of buffer.<\/p>\n<p>To enable seamless integration, Fair-fleet had to break new ground, as no system for telematically recording H2 buses was previously available on the market. Thanks to the analysis function of the Fairfleet platform, WSW receives an exact comparison with the CO2 emissions of traditional diesel buses. By the end of 2023, for example, a total of over 535,000 kg of CO2 equivalent (CO2e) had been avoided.<\/p>\n<p>The WSW sustainability team also benefited from a real-time overview of the fuel levels of its diesel and hydrogen buses.
