Geotab is one of the largest telematics providers in the world and was the first company to connect more than two million vehicles on a single open platform.

Geotab GO data acquisition device

GO vehicle tracking makes it possible to determine the position, speed and direction of travel of the vehicle at any time thanks to satellite systems. In addition, data can be collected from a variety of sources such as the engine, powertrain, instrument cluster and other subsystems. Vehicle condition assessment, collision detection and notification as well as driver coaching are all possible with this device.

MyGeotab software

MyGeotab is a web-based fleet management software that clearly displays all vehicle and driver information. This allows you to make faster and more precise decisions. The dashboards, graphs and charts can be customized to meet your specific business needs. Individual evaluations can also be created.

Interfaces and installation

If a vehicle has an existing VDV238 interface, Fairfleet supplies an adapter cable and the appropriate Geotab telematics system to equip the vehicle and record and process all CAN data in approx. 5 minutes. If the vehicle does NOT have a VDV238 interface, Fairfleet can analyze the vehicle data and “translate” the data into a VDV238 standard through reverse engineering using a VDV238 adapter and thus make it available. This is also possible for vehicles that do not offer a physical tap (such as the eCitaro or some fuel cell vehicles).
